Course Agenda
- ^Legal issues in the workplace and community
- ^Basic Life Support (ANZCOR Guidelines – DRSABCD)
- ^Recognising and management of unconscious breathing/non breathing casualties
- ^Awareness and implications of implementing CPR and first aid techniques to infants and children
- ^CPR techniques for adult, child & infant
- ^Use of an AED for adults and children
- ^Chain of survival
- ^Choking Management
- ^Use of oxygen equipment for adults and children
- ^Use of other equipment eg. Suction
- ^Identify methods to maintain oxygen equipment
- ^Managing life-threatening bleeding
Practical Assessment
- ^Perform CPR on adult, junior and infant manikins
- ^Use of an AED
- ^Choking management (practice on manikins)
- ^Resuscitation using all oxygen equipment inc. suction and oropharyngeal airways
- ^Preparing oxygen equipment for use
- ^Practice using tourniquet & haemostatic dressings
Theory Assessment
- ^Completed online through our new online learning portal, information and instructions provided after booking
- ^Please contact us if completing a paper assessment is preferred
